Recently, good news came from a compressor station of China’s major energy infrastructure project, the West-East Gas Pipeline: multiple large centrifugal compressor units supplied by Shaangu have been fully put into operation. The units have excellent performance indicators, achieving the goal of“successful commissioning in one attempt.”
The most core equipment of a compressor station—the centrifugal compressor—is known as the“heart”of a natural gas pipeline. Shaangu has long been deeply engaged in this field. In response to the stringent requirements of oil and gas pipeline networks for stability and reliability, it has continuously carried out core technology research and achieved a localization breakthrough in core units. The compressor features remote one-button start/stop, comprehensive one-button station start/stop, and intelligent control of multi-unit load distribution. Its polytropic efficiency is as high as over 88%, reaching an internationally leading level.
