To Create Intelligent Green Energy for Human Civilization

On June 26th, the launch of the world’s largest new energy storage base and related press conference for the “World’s First 660MW Compressed Air Energy Storage System Solution for China Energy Engineering Construction (CEEC)” were held in Jinan, Shandong.

At the conference, CEEC released the “World’s First 660MW Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) System Solution” and signed the “Research & Development Cooperation Agreement for Technical Solution of CEEC 660MW CAES System Core Equipment” with Shaangu Power and Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group. Dr.Chen Dangmin, General Manager of Shaangu Power, has signed this agreement together with relevant parties.

The 3060MW energy storage base, located in the south of Huanggang Town, Shan County, Heze City, Shandong Province, is China’s first large-scale green power consumption hub project at the receiving end, and also the first project in China to adopt the cluster development model of “salt and power joint operation + integrated production and storage”, setting three new “world records”, namely the world’s largest new energy storage base, the world’s largest salt mine customized cavity-making energy storage base, and the world’s first CAES equipment with single unit power of 600MW. It is proposed to include 3 units with a single power of 660MW for each and other 3 units with a single power of 360MW for each, which can reach a total installed capacity of 3060MW, 4 billion kWh of power generation annually and an energy conversion efficiency of about 70%.

Currently, the feasibility study on the 660MW CAES power plant has been reviewed, and its air expander is of the world’s largest single machine power with efficiency of over 92%, the compressor with overall efficiency of more than 90%, all of which are at the international leading level. In the later stage, Shaangu will continue to complete the research & development of the core equipment solutions for the CEEC 660MW CAES system with high quality, so as to achieve the goals of high efficiency, energy-saving, safety and reliability with optimized cost.
