The largest thermal power CO2 Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) project undertaken by Shaangu in Asia has been successfully put into operation!

On June 2nd, Shaangu undertook the largest thermal power CCUS project in Asia – the 500,000 tons/year carbon capture and resource based energy utilization research and demonstration project of National Energy Group Taizhou Power Generation Co., Ltd. After full load operation, it was officially put into operation. Shaangu provided the CO₂ capture core compressor equipment and system solutions and services for the project. After the project is put into operation, it can capture up to 500,000 tons of CO₂ annually, achieving a CO₂ capture rate of over 90% and a storage and consumption rate of 100%. This will provide a new model for carbon reduction in the coal power industry by implementing the “dual carbon” goal and promoting clean utilization of coal.
