Recently, the tail gas compressor unit of CO₂ capture device provided by ShaanGu for the 400,000 t/y CCS demonstration project and 400,000 t/y pilot test project of Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group was successfully trial-run at one time, marking an important breakthrough in key technical equipment in the field of CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) and laying a solid equipment foundation for the steady progress of the project.

The unit successfully trial-run this time is a 15MPa class single-shaft centrifugal CO₂ compressor independently developed by ShaanGu. It is the first set of high-pressure centrifugal CO₂ compressor applied to CCS units in China. The overall pressure ratio of the unit exceeds 120, the pressure difference exceeds 140bar, and the exhaust pressure and density are high, putting extremely stringent requirements on the long-term operation stability and reliability of the unit.
The ShaanGu technical team faced the challenges and effectively overcome many problems of high-pressure and high-density medium compression. These innovative technologies have greatly improved the long-term operation stability and overall reliability of the unit, ensuring the reasonable matching between the unit and the process system.
