Recently, a Blast Furnace Top Gas Waste Heat and Pressure Recovery Turbine Unit (TRT) developed and manufactured by ShaanGu was successfully started up on its first trial at the project site of a large international steel company in Turkey, and has now been put into full operation. Servicing the Turkish market for many years, ShaanGu has provided nearly 100 sets of large equipment to the local clients, covering multiple fields such as metallurgy and chemical industry. Thanks to its excellent equipment performance and reliable service support, ShaanGu has earned widespread recognition and trust from Turkish users.
The client placed a strong emphasis on production efficiency and comprehensive resource utilization, and has been actively pursuing green and intelligent upgrades of its production facilities. As a result, the project demanded extremely stringent requirements for the performance, efficiency, and reliability of the supporting equipment. ShaanGu provided a tailor-made TRT unit, which serves as a core energy-saving solution in the steelmaking process for efficient recovery and utilization of secondary energy. By converting the waste pressure and thermal energy of blast furnace gas into electricity without consuming additional fuel, the system enables clean power generation and represents a key technological asset for steel producers to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and lower carbon emissions.
Since the launch of the project, ShaanGu has attached great importance to its execution and assembled a specialized, elite project team. From installation to commissioning, every phase was managed with lean principles and strict quality control. The team overcame multiple challenges, including remote operations and alignment with diverse international standards, ultimately achieving a successful first-time startup of the unit. Since being put into operation, the equipment has been running stably, with all performance parameters exceeding design specifications.
The successful operation of the TRT unit has not only effectively improved the client’s blast furnace production capacity but also helped reduce production costs and efficiently recycle waste energy from the blast furnace, injecting green momentum into the client’s high-quality development.
